In this “Latest from Paula” post, we want to feature one of designer Paula Hermanny’s favorite fashion brands: Osklen. A Brasilian sportswear line created by Oskar Metsavaht in 1989, the brand initially found its niche in athletic clothing for cold weather sports, such as snowboarding. The first store opening took place in Buzios, Rio de Janeiro and since then, Osklen has expanded into the surf market as well as women’s wear.
Osklen is known for its easy and relaxed style with an eco-conscious way of living. Below are a couple of Paula’s favorite looks from Osklen’s The Royal Black Spring/Summer 2012 line. Natural colors accented with a bright accessory is a fresh combination:
The flowing lines and neutral palette seen in Osklen’s latest collection reminds us of our ViX Jute Long Dress. Shown in black, below, this easy day dress also comes in a soft grey. To the right is our Cambra bikini from Cruise 2012, in natural taupe with hints of blue snakeskin details, illustrating one way to wear neutrals with a splash of color, as seen on the runway.
This season, we love the flowing yet feminine silhouettes that are dominating collections—classic ease that echoes the signature style of ViX Swimwear. Make sure to check back for more designer features that are favorites of Paula’s.
