Summer 2012 Behind the Collection: Trancoso

Trancoso is a quaint seaside town in the state of Bahia, of northern Brasil. The beaches are known for powdery, white sand and can offer a more romantic seclusion than the high-traffic tourist beaches such as Copacabana. Off the beaten track, “Praia do Espelho,” or “Mirror Beach” can be found as one of Trancoso’s best beaches—the semi-deserted feel and naturally warm reef waters make it perfect for the adventurous.

It was this spirit that inspired Paula Hermanny to create the Trancoso tiger print for the ViX Swimwear Summer 2012 Collection. A striking animal print in warm tones contrasted with hints of green, the Trancoso gives the ViX girl just the right amount of whimsy and sophistication. This season, the Trancoso tiger print is offered in a long tri top detail bikini, ruffle bandeau bikini, silk caftan cover-up and a long, silk dress; giving plenty of options for the ViX girl to channel her inner daring and make this summer a spirited one.
