Bikini Fit Workshop: The Girl from Olinda
The “apple shape” is our fifth body type for the ViX Bikini Fit Workshop and we have chosen the historic Brasilian city of Olinda to capture this girl’s essence.
“The Girl from Olinda”
Apple shape. Deemed the country’s first Capital of Culture, Olinda is home to several historical landmarks that sprawl a hill overlooking the Brasiilian coastline. Like the city’s extensive reach, the apple shape of the Girl from Olinda is wider at the top with minimal waist definition. A figure-flattering suit will benefit her body type.
Celeb Fit Twins:
Elizabeth Hurley, Catherin Zeta-Jones, Kesha, and Drew Barrymore
The Girl from Olinda is the opposite of pear. Similar to an inverted triangle, she needs bikini tops that will minimize her wide shoulders and bikini bottoms that give her the illusion of more curves.
Halter and Long Tri Tops – This style creates a defined V-neck and the wider halter straps give coverage and create an optical illusion. The way wider straps lay against the chest will make shoulders appear narrower, as opposed to string bikini straps, which would do the opposite.
Mix and Match – Pairing a solid halter bikini top with a fun printed bottom is a great way to draw the eye down and away from the wider upper body.
One Piece Cutouts – Create your own curves with a cutout monokini! Again, go for a deep V-neck with wider straps. Cutout sides will instantly give you a curvier silhouette, lengthen your torso and give you the look of a more defined waist.
Fan Fit Feedback:
Cynthia, from Mexico City, always had trouble finding something that worked well for her wide shoulders—“The Luiza Eva bikini top works wonders for my body type. And the classic halter top makes me feel like Marilyn Monroe!”
