Style Icon: Kate Moss

March 13th, 2013

Kate Moss is known as one of the most iconic of supermodels.  Her quiet confidence and chameleon-like adaptability is recognized, sought-after and admired by many.  Perhaps even more striking is Kate’s personal sense of unabashed style.  From portraying the “waifish anti-supermodel” in the 90’s to one of the world’s sexiest models at the turn of the century and later, inadvertently coining “boho-chic” with Sienna Miller, Kate is the poster child of reinvention.

Her sartorial flair has earned accolades in magazines such as Vanity Fair, Vogue, W and even an award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America.  Whether Kate has donned a pair of Hunter rain boots or is red-carpet ready in an elegant gown, her range of fashion aesthetic is obvious. This range is also evident in ViX designer Paula Hermanny, who—while also being an admirer of Kate—deftly crosses over from classic to bohemian to bold and back again.  Below is some style inspiration where both Kate and Paula appear to parallel in taste:

A scarf atop neutrals

Both Kate and Paula go about their day wearing no-nonsense black that is livened up with a contrasting scarf.

Class with some edge

Stripes are a fashion mainstay but it is refreshing to wear them in different ways.  Paired with statement accessories such as a pair of tall boots or an unforgettable purse, as shown with Kate and Paula, give off an urban look with a twist.

Crisp in white

Sophisticated, ladylike and with a dash of austerity—wearing head-to-toe white makes both these ladies look bold and ever so chic. A must try 'white story' for summer!
