Summer 2013 Behind the Collection: Curacao

May 10th, 2013

Often touted as the island that feels “undiscovered,” Curacao is one of the lesser-known paradises dotting the Caribbean.  And like its place of inspiration, the Curacao print of the ViX Summer 2013 Collection delivers just as unique of an impression.

The geometric pattern of white and blue, accents of ivory horn and of course, the signature 24K gold-plated details, come together for a resort look both sophisticated and unassuming.

Below, the Curacao Triangle bikini is paired with the Pipa Caftan, creating a fun contrast of textures with indigo print and bright, white eyelet.

ViX designer Paula Hermanny directed the photo shoot in the same bikini, looking ultra chic in the linen trousers and classic button-down that completed her ensemble.  She was thrilled to capture the Pamela Jumpsuit, a piece in the collection she deems “so elegant and easy to wear.”

After all, blue is Paula’s color of the moment and luckily for us, the Caribbean-inspired summer collection is awash with it!
