Often touted as the island that feels “undiscovered,” Curacao is one of the lesser-known paradises dotting the Caribbean.  And like its place of inspiration, the Curacao print of the ViX Summer 2013 Collection delivers just as unique of an impression.

Let’s take orange and blue.  They are a pair of complementary colors and when placed next to each other, the resulting contrast is eye-catching, memorable and unexpected.

“The Caribbean was an amazing inspiration for our summer collection,” ViX designer Paula Hermanny says, “the islands, the blue water and white sand—I can never get tired of it.”

Can anyone ever get tired of it?  A dreamscape come to life, the Caribbean is a destination of beauty, wonder and magic.  It’s the kind of place where imagination is set free and our connection with nature is restored.  Capturing the simple pleasures of the islands felt like a vacation—not work:

“Blue is the color of the season!” ViX designer Paula Hermanny exclaims, “it’s such a classic color—casual but elegant at the same time.”

Hence, as one of Paula’s quintessential favorites, blue is an anchor color of the new Summer 2013 Collection.  Blue has diversity and easily spans the range from violet undertones to the deepest of indigos, as captured best by the Cayman.

“The Cayman combines two of my favorite things—stripes and the color blue.  It’s like the ripples in the sea from ocean waves,” Paula says.
