Destino Brasil: A Look into the Details

August 15th, 2012

Tucked away in Brasil is a little workshop responsible for all trims production. The 24K gold plated detail is a trademark of the brand’s signature style. These pieces are custom made especially for ViX and include all the gold hardware that adorn the suits: ViX engraved end beads, gold bandeau bars, logo tubes, seasonal accents and even the ViX logo charms.

Each piece is handled with care, polished and then sent off to the ViX bikini factory to become that unexpected detail that makes each ViX suit so special!

June 12th, 2012

In Brasil, Valentine’s Day or Dia dos Namorados is celebrated on June 12th. Like Americans, Brasilians celebrate with romantic dinners, flowers, candies and gifts. Valentine’s Day is celebrated on June 12th instead of February 14th because Brasilian Carnaval serves as the country’s main event during February or March.

Destino Brasil - Ipanema

Between Leblon and Arpoador, Ipanema is a tourist friendly beach, where one can easily wander the streets, enjoy fresh fruit at the farmer’s market and even participate in a game of volleyball. Lifeguard towers, or postos, divide the beach into segments. Some locations attract beautiful Carioca regulars (the locals of Rio), making certain postos more popular than others.
