Are you ready for more Bikini Fit Tips? Last week’s post focused on the best swimsuits for small chests. Today, we travel south from Bahia and head to Rio de Janeiro. We chose Rio as the namesake city for the girl with a smaller rear who would benefit from a great fitting bikini bottom.
“The Girl from Rio de Janeiro”
Small bumbum. Rio de Janeiro will host the 2016 Summer Olympics and the Girl from Rio is just as sporty. She’s athletic with a smaller rear, so a figure-hugging fit is key.
Celeb Fit Twins:
Kelly Ripa, Madonna, Megan Fox and Jennifer Aniston.
Bikini bottoms are normally offered in two types of cuts, a full cut and a Brasilian cut. A Brasilian cut bikini bottom is the best choice for this body type. With less coverage, the cut will create a more flattering silhouette. Details like side-ties, fringe, and ruching will help to balance out your bottom half.
Ruched Bikini Bottoms – Ruching down the back of bikini bottoms will accent even the slightest curve of your rear, creating the illusion of a fuller rump. These styles often incorporate ripple edge detailing, which is also flattering on a smaller tush.
Banded Detail Bottoms – Jeweled details at the hips distract the eye. Bikini bottoms with a ruched band give flexible comfort and volume. An even more embellished option is the new macramé weave band. This new bikini bottom also features a tassel side tie for some extra panache!
Fan Fit Feedback:
Phuong, from San Francisco, had joked to us about her barely-there-backside, saying, “I don’t even have a butt, I just have a long back!” We recommended the ripple bikini and after a little reluctance, she tried it on and raved, “I was afraid of the cut at first but this really makes a difference! I actually have a butt!” Tush-é!
Have you tried on the Ripple suit? They may look a little skimpy and intimidating but we promise they can work wonders! Join the ViX Facebook Fan Fit Discussion, happening now. You could win an expert fit session with ViX and a designer bikini!
